Worth Watching: The Origin of the Game

You may or may not already know that Lacrosse is the oldest game in North America and was played by virtually all tribes across the land in various forms. The Iroquois Nation (originally from what is now upstate New York & south eastern Canada) are known to have played the game that westerners later discovered and called lacrosse. To this day the Iroquois compete in the World Lacrosse games as their own nation every four years against teams from the USA, Canada, Australia and many others. Oren Lyons is one of the most notable and outspoken members of the Iroquois Nation and in the video below he tells the story of the great game.
