RVYLA Honored to Be the First Recipients of the Fritz Hayes Memorial Fund

Frederick "Fritz" Hayes, a lacrosse parent who later became an official, was a tireless champion for the growth of the game in Oregon through his service on the board of the Oregon Lacrosse Officials Association (OLOA) and support of officials training for the Oregon Youth Lacrosse Association. In Fritz's honor, the OHSLA (Oregon High School Lacrosse Association) created the Fritz Hayes Classic (FHC) consisting of games between the previous year's semi-final teams. While the FHC provides the opportunity to watch great lacrosse, the event is also a fund raiser for the Oregon Youth Officials program.

RVYLA is extremely honored to be the first recipient from the Fritz Hayes Memorial Fund! We will do our best to honor Mr. Hayes’ by teaching the sport the right way and growing the game at the youth level here in the Rogue Valley!
